Some T. pachanoi have yellowed, then the interior liquifies to a stinking brownish ooze. When the ooze is gone, a papery skin remains. Excised unaffected meristem-containing tips survive. Disease seems to proceed from base of stem to meristem. Vascular tissue remains intact. Sometimes orange spots appear on the exterior of affected plants before the interior liquifies. Does anyone know what this disease is and/or how I can save my Trichocereus pacahnoi garden? thank You
